I normally give a bit of thought to my purchases but not this outfit. I bought the jumper and leggings in a frenzy last week when I was feeling a bit deflated after being unable to find anything I liked at a Boden clearance sale. The jumper is from Gap, it was on my wishlist last week. I underestimated how slouchy it would be buying an XL hoping it will grow with my bump. It is seriously enormous. This does have its pluses, covering my bum so I can wear it with leggings is the main one. Only £20, I am really happy with it, soft and stretchy I am considering another in the yellow colour way. The leggings are from Primark. Bought because I secretly want some leather or even pleather ones, these are a good compromise. Thick jersey with a pleather panel down each side, the effect is surprisingly slimming. I like that they are much thicker than ordinary leggings airing on the trousers rather than tights side of the blurry leggings arena. Also wearing my Topshop Artreau boots.
The Gap Colour Block Sweater is £19.99 and available here.
Have you made any impulse buys lately?

Really liking that sweater. Might have to go have a look on the Gap website. I'm pregnant too so keeping like to see how you are dressing your bump!
ReplyDeleteOoh congratulations. How far along are you? Any maternity wear recommendations? I am struggling. This jumper is great though, go for it.
DeleteI made one today - a DKNY dress in TK Maxx - was £170 and I paid £39.99 - totally impulse and a bargain! I'm wearing it tomorrow as part of my support for FrOctober! I'm also showing off what I'm wearing Pinterest and my website.
ReplyDeleteOff to check out the sweater, it looks great and I have some faux leather trouser/leggings that I should wear in the day as they don't get much/any use for nights out!

Hi. I'm just waiting on my delivery from Gap. I didn't go for your jumper but for the cream cable knit sweater and a couple of tops so can't wait to see what they'll be like. I got the blue red and cream stripped jumper in the last Gap sale and like yours it was enormous but a quick hot wash and a spin in the tumble dryer and its perfect!!
ReplyDeleteUodate! Gap stuff arrived. The cable jumper is beautiful. Looks and feels really expensive and was only £12.99. Would definitely recommend. Perfect for this weather with skinny jeans and boots.
DeleteSounds good sammy, do you have a link? I love how fast Gap delivery is.
ReplyDeleteSorry I've only just worked out how to reply!!! Good news though cable jumper now down to £9.99.
ReplyDeleteI recently got the yellow streaked sweater from Gap and a piece of nice pants from IndieMode. But when I wore it, it doesn't look that good to me. I want to have a slim body :(

Just come across your blog, we have very similar style, loving the gap jumper think I just might have to purchase it!
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased you featured the sweater here, Lucy. I was undecided about it and thought about getting one in XL because I like the slouchy look. I'm waaaay shorter than you are and will probably drown in the sweater. There are a few other jumpers at Gap that I'm keen on.
